Under its “Dirt Is Good” platform, OMO partnered with Arsenal to reconnect football with its roots. In Brazil, eight amateur community teams, all named Arsenal, play in the várzea, a raw, grassroots version of the game played on dirt pitches at the heart of local neighborhoods. OMO brought them together for the Varzenal Cup, a tournament culminating in a final at Emirates Stadium in London. From this tension between pinnacle and base, we built an entire visual world inspired by the textures, imperfections, and handmade spirit of the várzea, creating a design system that bridges football’s brightest stage with where the game truly begins.
